“Generations Talking Together”. They produced a set of videos based on
the four main subject areas. This one features IF Co-founder Angus

Clare Coatman argues strongly that the intergenerational
framework is a really useful way of looking at the UK’s problems. Clare
Coatman is the co-editor of the book and points out that REGENERATION
is offering many solutions to problems that affect younger and future
generations.

Adam Ramsay argues that the Intergenerational Framework is
useful in seeing why benefits are being withdrawn and what he describes
as the failure of neo-liberalism. Adam Ramsay and Peter McColl wrote
the chapter Rebuilding society from the bottom up.

Shiv Malik is a co-founder of the Intergenerational
Foundation and was a key mover in getting together the book
REGENERATION. He thinks the intergenerational lens is very helpful in
analysing the problems of UK society and is the author of Jilted
Generation.

Matt Williams on Student Futures
Matt Williams on how student futures can contribute to the
intergenerational debate. Matt thinks that young people are not happy
with the debt that is being handed on to future generations. He is also
concerned about the ecological debt that is being created. Matt
Williams is also working with the Climate Coalition.

Ben Little on Regeneration
Ben Little talks about how the Regeneration Book project
started and the challenge of engaging his students in current political
affairs. His chapter is the book is “Forget markets: it’s ownership
that really matters.”

Christo Albor on the future of the NHS
Christo wrote a chapter of Regeneration with Guppi Bola
looking at the importance of healthcare from the point of view of the
current generation and future generations. Health inequality is Christo
Albor’s predominant concern.

Becky Luff on democracy
Becky contributed to the Regeneration Book – part of the
Radical Futures series. She wrote an inspiring piece about UK democracy
and its ever evolving nature, entitled Democracy Beyond Westminster.
Disappointed by the “no” vote on the Alternative Vote referendum, she
is determined to find other opportunities to improve British democracy.
