Guy Shrubsole on Regeneration and the Generational lens

Guy Shrubsole, co-editor of Regeneration, describes the process of working with 30 other younger writers, to create this book which is available free online.  He describes the problems facing the younger generation and is looking for new ways of organising a better world.  Guy is excited by the fact that concerns for intergenerational fairness have now spread beyond the environmental movement.  He wants to see the social contract between generations restored.

Clare Coatman argues strongly that the intergenerational framework is a really useful way of looking at the UK’s problems.  Clare Coatman is the co-editor of the book and points out that REGENERATION is offering many solutions to problems that affect younger and future generations.

Matt Williams on how student futures can contribute to the intergenerational debate.  Matt thinks that young people are not happy with the debt that is being handed on to future generations.  He is also concerned about the ecological debt that is being created.  Matt Williams is also working with the Climate Coalition.

Becky Luff on democracy

Becky contributed to the Regeneration Book – part of the Radical Futures series.  She wrote an inspiring piece about UK democracy and its ever evolving nature, entitled Democracy Beyond Westminster.  Disappointed by the “no” vote on the Alternative Vote referendum, she is  determined to find other opportunities to improve British democracy.
